I read about a runaway
Just on a pint of milk today
And then I poured myself a glass
And drank

It made me think of Florida
And miles and miles of oranges
Vacationers and rent-a-cars
With their skin burnt dark and hard

Like coral bracelets
It all recalls bits of you
Everything's orange in hue
Like this bracelet keeps dropping to place

I don't see them anymore

I thought about a stowaway
Onboard a boat to faraway
And then I ran myself a bath
And got in

It made me think of daffodils
And some old-fashioned hospital
And nurses in their uniforms
Are their toenails painted orange
