Help:Advanced
From LyricWiki
This page contains links and tools for advanced users and editors of LyricWiki. They may be a bit complicated for most newcomers, but as you become more comfortable with the site, they will hopefully become more useful and less confusing.

Sources of work
Looking for something to do? These pages will help you find out where we need help.
- SOAP failures - the most common requests to the SOAP which we did not find matches for. These entries may just need redirects, but they often contain songs or artists that we don't have pages for yet.
- Top 100 iTunes songs - this feed comes directly from iTunes (updates every few hours... not positive on the interval). Since these are the newly popular songs, this page will often have songs that are not in the wiki yet, and will have plenty of cases where there will be red-links because the naming is slightly different (iTunes leaves the "featuring [...]" in the title).
- Requests for edits
- Requests for deletion
- Requests for moves
- Users looking for help
- Requests
- Google Music Trends - we should have everything on this list (TODO: They don't have an RSS feed of it... anyone willing to write a script to turn this into an RSS feed or a LyricWiki page so that we can see which songs we have and don't have?)

Tools
If you have a tool that you use to edit LyricWiki more effectively, please let us know. If it needs web-hosting, please contact Sean and we will probably host it for you.
- Wikify Album Listing - quickly paste in an album listing in any of several formats and output the correct wikitext for that album's entry on an artist page.
- HTMLets - we have a plugin which allows us to insert pre-defined chunks of HTML into articles. This is used for the search box on the Main page for example.
