January

Easily my favorite Billy Joel song. It's melody is memorable and it really speaks about the drone of real life.
They Might Be Giants are known for their somewhat cryptic, playful, and tongue in cheek lyrics and the lyrics here can certainly be described that way. Any song that can work in Jason and the Argonauts, the Longines Symphonette, and a "little glowing friend" is sure to tickle the mind and cheer the soul...hopefully one furnished with a birdhouse.
A cover of the famous John Lennon song. It's anti-war, featuring on eMOTIVe. eMOTIVe was APC's response to the recent government policies of a number of nations, declaring war on pretty much anybody that opposes them. "You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one"
This song is the second part of the soon to be Keasbey Trilogy. Amazing use of gang vocals, quotable lyrics, auralgasmic horn parts and not to mention they slipped the word "cock" in there for good measure.
An internet phenomenon, this song deserves to be song of the day, to keep the "Numa Numa" spirit alive, right here on this site. A #1 single in many countries, a Song of the Day it should be.
This song could be about just about anything -- *YOU DECIDE*. Is it about drugs? Is it about war? Is it a dig at people who don't like Tool? Only Maynard knows for sure. Plus, any song that can fit the words "cozened indigo" into the lyrics deserves a listen or two.
Many of you might know Razorlight from their no. 1 single America. But that's not the only song they've written, and by far not the best one. Vice for example. The single was released in a time that Razorlight weren't as known as they're now.. For me, this song represents the 'real Razorlight sound'; Rocky, indie, and goddamn great.
This song has a nihilistic feel to it, which everyone can relate to every time they're down. It also helps you tune out of the world. Some of the lyrics are controversial and witty, which makes it interesting.
Powerful words with implications for anyone who wants any kind of change. The imagery at the end of the song makes me tear up every time.
Musical Abilities of this band aside, the lyrics, and melodic mastery of this song make it more than worthy of song of the day. On top of this, I think I am not being over confident when I say everyone is a Love Fool at some point in their lives, "So Maybe I'm a Love Fool, I don't want the world... I want you" such touching lyrics express that which many of us have thought in our lives, though many of us have so often failed to express it.
I love this song, awesome chorus and just keeps going from there
This song was a big hit in Europe and has a catchy jingle.
I love this band and think they are amazing. The lyrics in their songs are meaningful but not exaggerated. They're real and i love that. This song is one of the best for depicting a real life situation. The bands use of melody and pure vocal really make you feel the song.
This a great song that tells the story of Bowser kidnapping Princess Peach to try and get revenge on the Mario Bros. Not to mention the title is also great advice.
This was their first popular song and might seem a bit angry and bitter. Nevertheless it's very catchy and deserves a listen!
This was the first release for Jellyfish, the 1990's illegitimate love-children of The Beatles. The group was ahead of their time with their updated retro flavors and this song epitomizes that. The lyrics are wonderful, as is the music and video.
It is such a sad song. It is so beautiful.
A beautiful, dreamy and emotional ballad which almost everyone with any experience in love gone sour can find a message in. Reminiscent of Dylan during Blood on the Tracks.
One of the world's most beloved songs of all time. It's sweet melody and touching lyrics make it the perfect song. It's the perfect blend of poetry and music.
This song is a classic! The lyrics, the band, the tune! Everything about it just screams classic song!
Between Dimebag's slamming riffs and the explosion of Vinnie Paul on drums sets this song up for success.
This is one of my favorite songs.
Dances at the Teen Center and my school, this is one of the only songs that practically almost everybody dances to! Plus dancing with the music gives you a good work out!
When I saw the music video, I could've been heartbroken. It is just so sad! I also like the lyrics. They express how the girl feels; very well!
I heard it for the first time yesterday, and I can't stop listening to it. And it sounds so good! And I like it when she sings the heart part!
94 Hours, as well as being one of my personal favorites, is one of As I Lay Dying's best songs. This song got me into the vast depths of Hardcore punk/metal. The lyrics are very easy to relate to also.
I think the whole song sounds really cool, and it brings in a little Spanish which I think is cool!
A rock classic from the 70's. Subtly sinister and mysterious. A Stephen King favorite. Also the song in of one of the best Saturday Night Live sketches ever. More cowbell, anyone?
Ok, this song is probably one of my top favorites. It's on mine and my best friend's top 20 CD, it's what my ringtone would be if I had a cell phone, and it's just sooo much fun to dance and sing with!
One of the best songs on their In Your Honor album. I love it!
I once heard it on z100 (radio station in my area) and I can't stop listening to the song because it's really good!
