Spring Cleaning
Reverted some new edits to old ones for useless information and actually DE-grading the pages. Though it might be something personal I like the FtM pages to resemble something of a book or a poem. And credits on each page are unneeded, the credits are already posted on the album page and on wikipedia. --Sin 15:51, 29 May 2008 (EDT)
- As I have mentioned before, this is your own personal preference, but isn't a site policy. If you want to take the time to eliminate punctuation, then feel free to do so realizing that someone with an opposing viewpoint will likely come along and add in the punctuation. Credits are to be added whenever possible, as it gives the creators of the song the respect that they deserve, whether that information is found elsewhere or not. User:Redrkr has been diligently trying to add in the various minutiae that are missing from pages, such as credits, album information, and languages, and these should not be removed, as they are a valued part of the pages' information. Thanks. Kiefer talk contribs admin 16:51, 29 May 2008 (EDT)
Added Demo Section
Why? Because the previous versions of some songs are completely different and have a completely different style throughout- It's interesting to see the evolution of FtM from just a couple years ago to now. I'm sort of documenting FtM's past, to look forward to the future. Here's to making this Wiki best, and the most complete source for Fair to Midland lyrics. --Sin 03:07, 1 April 2008 (EDT)
Quest for completion
Hopefully someone EVENTUALLY reads this. My name is Chris, and I'm on a quest to complete the lyrics for Fair to Midland's newest (and first major labeled) release Fables From a Mayfly: What I Tell You Three Times is True.
The original page Fair to Midland was on had the M not capitalized, sending everything to a different page. I fixed that by creating a new page, and leaving the old one blank.
I will be filling the songs in with old lyrics from their previous releases, once done I will be making small modifications to the lyrics to better fit their new revised form in the new album.
Once done I might work on the previous releases by Fair to Midland.
Hopefully when I'm done, this can be a place where "official" lyrics spawn from. Fair to Midland is getting bigger, and I'm sure fans want to sing along.

- Well, first a big welcome to this site. We can always use people to improve our site, and it seems like you've set out quite a project for yourself. You might want to create an account for yourself (click the link at the very top right of the page) so your IP address won't show up all over the place when you make more edits. Anyway, hopefully we'll hear more from you soon. If you need help, just call (and use {{helpme}}) -- and have fun! --Mischko

- Thanks, I made an account- and here I am! With the help of the guys at the FTM Forum, we'll be moderating this place so nothing turns ugly. (Sin 21:00, 20 June 2007 (EDT))
- Over 2007 I have worked to perfect the Fair to Midland lyricwiki, and it's pretty much there. Fans around the U.S. and world come here to sing along with their new favorite band. This wiki has received album of the week, a praise by the band members, and a definite source for correct lyrics of this band. I would like to thank anyone on the forums who has helped piece this project together, and for Fair to Midland themselves for creating such magical music. Sin 14:36, 9 February 2008 (EST)
Updates
So I've been working on this Wiki for awhile, Every once in awhile looking back and listening to the songs again, making small updates to each track. Everyday the lyrics get closer to being 100% correct. So- yeah, making an update. --Sin 15:13, 25 June 2007 (EDT)
- I've added navigation between songs and made a few changes.--Sin 22:31, 6 July 2007 (EDT)
- Because the instrumental tracks do not have lyrics, I removed them from the song's names. The lyric pages will still have the names of the instrumental tracks as will the CD's own LyricWiki page. This might clear up confusion. --Sin 22:35, 13 July 2007 (EDT)
- MORE UPDATES! Today I added Fair to Midland's Inter.Funda.Stifle Album to the wiki. You can see a lot of changes. Hopefully this will encourage fans of Fables From a Mayfly to check out their earlier releases. Don't be confused about the albums, Fair to Midland re-did many of their songs from IFS for Fables. The Lyrics for IFS are official, from the old Fair to Midland site which can be found here. http://ftmband.com/lyrics.html --Sin 15:45, 19 July 2007 (EDT)
- No problem. I've been trying to avoid that page naming policy- the lower case t looks so much better. BUT YOU CAUGHT ME! Oh well- Thanks for the tips. The more I'm on here the more you help me out- and the more I learn about kicking ass on Wikis. I'll be making some changes today. --Sin 15:02, 20 July 2007 (EDT)
- Added another album. Edited some pages.--Sin 00:54, 24 July 2007 (EDT)
Fables At Top
I believe Fables should be at the top of the LyricWiki. The reason being, Fables is their first national release, nobody will know the earlier albums, and won't have much to care about their lyrics. You can no longer buy The Carbon Copy Silver lining. Fables can be said as their "First Release" ignoring the others. --Sin 16:47, 24 July 2007 (EDT)
Album of the Week
Would you look at that. Fair to Midland is album of the week. When I first started work on this Wiki- it wasn't crap. Look at it now! --Sin 17:28, 20 August 2007 (EDT)
- Also- because the Wiki has come this far, I suppose I'll quit taking full control of this.
I'll come through and check on it everyday in the morning- so we don't have some false shit going around. I'm actually going to be seeing the band here soon, and will ask them some lyric spots that are most troublesome. --Sin 13:10, 21 August 2007 (EDT)
