Talk:Rammstein:Te Quiero Puta
From LyricWiki
[edit] About the translation of "quiero"
I've previously modified the lyrics for this song translating "quiero" as "want" instead of "love". Later, the previous version was restored and a note have been added notifying that "quiero" was most probably a translation of "love".
Sincerely, a song that says 'I want your fruit' or 'No, no, no, not your heart / really really your lemon [the fruit, her pussy]' doesn't seems to me a romantic declaration of love. Specially when the lyrics later says: 'Between your legs I'm going to cry' referring her as 'puta [whore]'.
My native language is Portuguese, wich is very similar to Spanish. I'm really intrigued to understand the reason that leads to someone to prefer the "love" translation. --Anton 00:03, 9 September 2007 (EDT)
