sort is a parameter to specify the sort order in the category list. This is used for artists with names in non-Latin based scripts.

If the artist comes from a country where including the "state" part of the template seems wrong (e.g. Germany, France), then it's better to leave it blank. For bands and artists from U.K., use United Kingdom as country, The country (e.g. England) as state and the city as hometown.
