I am the main host of Animé Music Podcast which is released every Wednesday on ikkyou.org[1]
Animé Music Podcast is a weekly program released every Wednesday presented by either Peter Shillito (me) or John Astle. We usually feature three songs taken from Japanese animé. However, only extended versions of the songs are used and not the original TV size versions originally used in the animé.

History
I first started Animé Music Podcast in 2005 when there were 2 songs per episode which were usually in bad quality. At that time, Windows Sound Recorder was used to make the episodes. Later on, I switched to Nero Wave Editor and then finally switching to Audacity which I still used today.
At first, the Podcast was hosted on myFilehut with the main website in my blogs on MSN Spaces. The page was then given a .co.nr domain name under petersbrain.co.nr. myFilehut stopped allowing MP3 linking after a few weeks Animé Music Podcast was using it. The podcast then changed to Apple's AAC format. After about 6 episodes, the podcast page was moved to Blogger.com for ease of editing. The .co.nr domain was also re-directed to the Blogger.com page. A few weeks after this, myFilehut started allowing direct linking to MP3 files again. However, the podcast continued using AAC format until episode seven.
In between episodes five and six, there was a large gap of about a month. This was due to talks with John Astle on combining his podcast and Animé Music Podcast. In episode seven, we had combined and that episode was a joint episode featuring both of the hosts.
Now
The podcast was receiving more hits than the free server allowed so the episodes were moved to the web space under ikkyou.org. The new website features more about the hosts and a forum. A streaming box using Macromedia Flash was previously added but after another redesign, it was removed.
Future
There is not much planned for the future of the podcast except that a J-pop special is planned. There are talks in making a special episode with recorded coverage of John Astle at the Tokonatsu animé convention held from the 28th to the 30th of July in Milton Keynes.
