MusicBrainz template

Hi, I just left a message on an Admin's page and saw your template. Just wanted to say well done! I hope they incorporate it. I think it is excellent.    Redxx    talk   16:17, 26 February 2008 (EST)

I just incorporated musicbrainz into the album footer, where now it accepts the parameter |musicbrainz = and it accepts the ID like you had set it up. I've already updated all pages with {{MusicBrainzRelease}}, so you can check out Disturbed:The Sickness (2000), Nirvana:In Utero (1993), and others. I do plan on incorporating this into the artist template too, but there are some other things I am waiting to be able to fix all at once.

We may want to delete {{MusicBrainzRelease}}, to avoid confusion, and also because now it is redundant.

I retract that, because apparently User:Senvaikis came up with a need for it.

He pointed out that we have one page for original releases, and its re releases and what have you. MusicBrainz does it with separate pages, so to accommodate, he wanted to use your template. So there.

I noticed you added Bronze Star to the above page, which would seem to indicate to me that you want to "watch" the page. Apologies, but since it is taking some time ranking all the pages, you happened to choose one that didn't have the necessary template on the talk page for you to complete. A lot of us don't use iTunes either but as long as you put link to artist in respect of artist page, album in respect of album, song, etc. you can mark confidently as done. I stumbled across this as well but it doesn't seem to work with musicbrainz in any way (which is the site I almost exclusively use). And the only flaw is that not every TRM is deleted. So I just copypaste it to notepad and replace all TRM with blanks. Firehawk 22:56, 22 August 2008 (EDT)

Ok so long as you know. Yes, I use musicbrainz too, so I use that wikify on those occasions and do the old copy/paste thing like you. Only thing is you have to be careful when using that wikify not to copy the surplus code onto artist page when you copy the final tracklisting.  _♫Яєd_{xx ♪}♫♪_♫♪^Talk 23:21, 22 August 2008 (EDT)

I'm glad you asked that, saves me having to (lol). However, KingNee, who made the template after I asked him about this, isn't online at the moment (he's in the process of moving).
